The Canucks are looking for a responsible individual or individuals to perform the function of Team Manager.

This individual may be a retired player wishing to stay involved with the club. We are looking for someone who can work closely with the VPs Rugby and generally be responsible for relaying the "Game Day" agenda to the division captains BEFORE games during the regular season and playoffs.

Specific duties will include liasing with the Coach, Club Captain, Equipment Manager, Referees, Physios etc… to ensure the following:

  • fixtures are confirmed for the upcoming week as to kick-off time and location.
  • transportation is confirmed for away-games with the bus company.
  • each division has the appropriate kit - complete with a FULL set of jerseys, a kicking tee, water bottles, and TWO game balls with a pump (equipment manager will monitor this, but the Team Manager needs to confirm)
  • each team has a confirmed physio and that physio is available 1 hour before the game.
  • each Canuck team has a copy of a properly filled out (all necessary signatures are on the game sheet and that our player's names are clearly marked) game sheet for EACH and EVERY game. NOTE: VPs of Rugby will compile and send these to the CRU/ARU and keep will sensure a copy is kept on file.
The Canucks executive want to be very be clear, that this should not be considered a "JOE BOY" position. This position is as important as any coach or player. This person will be seen as an integral part of the team(s) and will be afforded the utmost respect. The executive invites input from Old Boys and Alumni. We want to make this an attractive opportunity, and are open to exploring modified responsibilities for the right candidate.
