Canucks go undefeated in 2004 Tour of Eastern Europe

Prague...
The Canucks have once again come out on top! This time it was a very hard match that resulted in a victory over Prague, on Thursday October 14th.
The boys got an early lead only to see Praga come back and take it away. The ref made it hard for the boys with a yellow and red card given out plus some other decisions not going our way.
But, with good discipline and skill the Canucks scored three tries in the last 10 minutes to clinch the game.
The highlight was a try from young Pete Houlihan. Lurking in the backs he caught the ball with screams of "hit it up", but with some slick side steeping he crossed the line to put the game out of reach.
After the game one Canuck was quoted saying "that a tough game eh bro" and another said " I think my ass is broken, could you take my boots off."
Friday is a day off today, so drinking might be the call...
Game two in Prague...
We played the Slavia Praha team yesterday [Sunday the 17th of October] afternoon and racked up another win! The Slavia club were a little thin but managed to recruit a crafty veteran flanker with the promise of beer and some sausage.
I think most of the team managed to score a try at some point, but with the you play with a convert your own try policy, the score was a little closer than the game illustrated.
The highlight of the match was a friendly fight that involved just three hits; our guy (who was given a red card in the last game) hitting their guy; there guy (who is the current heavyweight champ of Prague) hitting our guy; and our guy hitting the ground. We all had a good laugh and continued the game.
Our new star inside centre Jamie Irvine was heard saying "it's pretty boring out here guys" then moments later he missed the tackle to give the Slavia team there one and only try right, under the posts. Nice work Irv!
The day concluded with some of us the lads going to watch a hockey game which was fun, even though we couldnīt convince them to fight.
It's Monday morning I we're off to Vienna in a few hours...
